Simpson Strong-Tie CCQ66-SDS2.5HDG Hot Dipped Galvanized Column Caps provide a high capacity connection between a 6x beam and a 6x post. CCQ66-SDS2.5HDG Column Caps should be used when the beam extends through the post. Each CCQ66-SDS2.5HDG Column Cap includes the required SDS screws that will allow you to install the cap faster as well making them lower profile than caps with bolts. Hot Dipped Galvanized coating provides corrosion resistance when required. These products require hot-dip galvanized fasteners (fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153).
