Its direct-to-metal (DTM) formulation allows for easy application on a variety of surfaces including machinery, farm implements, fixtures, conveyors, safety equipment, metal, wood, and doors. With excellent rust and corrosion resistance, this enamel is also acceptable for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants, making it a reliable choice for safety colors in industrial, construction, and traffic areas.

Before application, ensure that surfaces are clean, dry, and in sound condition. Remove all loose rust, paint, and any contamination to guarantee optimal adhesion. For enhanced adhesion, it is recommended to undercoat iron, steel, and aluminum with a suitable waterborne primer. Allow a minimum of six months for galvanized steel to weather before priming and topcoating. For masonry and block surfaces, ensure they are clean, dust-free, and cured for at least 28 days; fill any holes with block filler prior to topcoating.

This enamel can be applied using a synthetic brush, roller, or airless sprayer, and is easy to clean up with soap and water. Each gallon covers approximately 300 to 350 square feet, making it an efficient choice for larger projects. The paint dries to the touch in 20 to 45 minutes and can be recoated in 4 to 6 hours, allowing for quick project turnaround.
